MBE BUSINESS SERVICE CENTRES CHANGES NAME TO MAIL BOXES ETC

29/08/2011

On July 1st 2011, MBE Business Service Centres Australia changed its name to Mail Boxes Etc (MBE) in a move to re-align the Australian franchise network of 37 centres in-line with the international brand and name standard. The new branding will be rolled out to all Australian centres over the next two months,

In bringing in the branding changes Mail Boxes Etc Australia Chief Operating Officer, Richard Saar, said that aligning the Australian Franchise network with the international standard allows Franchisees and Customers alike to draw on the huge success and resources of the global MBE network.

“Re-aligning with the Australia network to Mail Boxes Etc is a huge bonus for the Australian Franchise group as it allows access to an internationally recognised brand name which is experiencing great success and growth with over 100 centres added in the international network in the past 12 months.”

“It’s also a bonus for MBE customers, as they have access to the world’s largest shipping and business services network, enabling MBE centres to tap into global supply deals and pass this onto the Australian marketplace”

“By making this change and working with our international partners, Mail Boxes Etc Australia is uniquely positioned to be Australia’s only truly global shipping, printing and business services provider.” Mr Saar said.

Mail Boxes Etc.(MBE) is the world’s largest international franchising network of shipping, postal, printing and support services for business activities and private customers. MBE Australia opened its first centre in Australia in 1993 and has a network of 37 centres in 5 states and the ACT.

Founded in San Diego, California (U.S.A.) in 1980, MBE was acquired by Mail Boxes Etc. Worldwide S.r.l., a newly formed subsidiary of the Fineffe Group, in May 2009. Already the largest international Mail Boxes Etc. master licensee with locations in Italy, Germany, Spain and Austria, Fineffe took over all the brand’s international activities, except for operations in the U.S. and Canada, from MBE Inc. (a wholly owned subsidiary of UPS).

Together with 4,500 “The UPS stores” in the U.S.A. and Canada which share the same business concept, Mail Boxes Etc. is the largest franchise network of retail locations offering shipping, printing and business services. All MBE stores are independently owned and operated. Today, Mail Boxes Etc. has more than 1,320 stores operating in over 30 countries posting an aggregate turnover of more than 300 million Euros in 2009.
